Olympic Arms are ok. I personally like Bushmaster and Colt. Colts are priced out of this world when you compair them to other brands. Bushmaster and Olympic are relatively close in price. The Bushmaster is a little more expensive though. Both are good rifles. Good luck in finding what you want.

Armalite, Colt, Bushmaster, DPMS, rock river, Stag Arms, S&W, and others are all good. I really don't care for Olympic Arms, but they are serviceable. The ones you must stay away from are anything Vulcan, Hesse, or Blackthorne.

Colt, Rock River and Bushmaster. I have all three, my favorite being an old Colt SP1. Quality wise I see no difference between these three. The Colt was my first back in the early 1070's so I just gravitate toward it. I think you would do well with any of these manufacturers.

Like Bushmaster because of their warrenty, they do back it. I bought a used gun and had problems, they fixed it no problems.

Lots of makes to check out with proponents for all. You'll be the one to make the final decision, so take your time in your search for what you want in an AR - it's all there, don't rush into a purchase, nothing is going to disappear tomorrow.

Now, with that said check out CMMG, http://cmmginc.secure-mall.com/shop/?shop=1, they have a good reputation.

I rather like the Armalite guns. I like their chrome lined barrels and chambers, and the overall quality. I also find that their unique bolts last far longer then others before breaking at the lugs. More money then some of the other AR's, but worh it I think.

The bolts arent unique on Armalite guns, they are mil spec. They might have a different alloy or heat treat, but dimensionally they are the same.

I have a Colt SP1 and a DPMS. Both shoot well, but my Colt is not as ammo picky with some of the underloaded stuff.
