1400 barrel on a Winchester 1300

Will a 1400 barrel work with a 1300?

    I am pretty sure it will not. One is an auto, one is a pump. Now a 1200 barrel may work on a 1300 since the chamber length is the main difference.

    A 1200 will work for sure. The reason I am asking is a auction said it would fit, but Im not sure if he is right.

    I have a 1400 rifled slug ribbed barrel on my 1200 and have shot it for about 5 years,the 12 and 1300 will not work on 1400 no gas ports.the ports are blocked when on the pumps.I always check the head space when putting new barrels on,so it should be checked with gages when changing barrels.tks.hedge[:D]

    Works, but do not do it. The 1400 barrel will blow the gas into the forend tube of the shotgun. It will make it very dirty and will cause it to gum up and pump harder.
