Scope Rings for CZ 452-2E American

I purchased a "CZ 452-2E ZKM American" 17 HMR but am having trouble finding scope rings that will fit. The top of the dovetail is .50 inch. I'm putting on a Bushnell Trophy 6-18X40 scope so Ex-High rings would be preferable. Currently I put some Leupold high 3/8 dovetail ring on it but there is a large gape on side of the ring mount and the scope is not centered on the rifle. Any help with rings would be appreciated.
Thanks

CZ has their own rings. Millet also makes rings for CZ. Neither of these companies are inexpensive.

Hey - give me back my gun & scope!

I have the same set up, I use the Millet rings with windage adjustable bases. Pretty sure they're plain old 3/8" rings for a grand total of about $20.00 or so.

I have a few 452s (and some 550s) and CZ rings are on the expensive side. Most of the time plain old 3/8" bases will work even though the grooved receiver on CZ is 11mm, which is not quite 3/8".

That's interesting information. I've measured the top of the dovetail on the gun with calipers and it's .50 Which is approx 13mm.
I'll check out the Millet rings. Is your CZ a 452-2E ZKM American? and how do your like it.

Thank you all for your help on this. I just ordered a set of Millett Angle-Lock TP00005 Scope rings from Opticsplanet. $25.94 with shipping. I now have a new set of Leupold Rings if any one is interested LU-MT-RING-22RIM-54234 I won on e-bay auction 310013818833
Payed $44.67 and will give up for the same plus shipping. If not I"ll put them back on e-bay and try to recover.
Thanks again for your help. I've spend hours on the web with no luck.

    Love it.

My gun is the CZ 452-2E ZKM American - at least that what it reads on the left side of the receiver wall. I was wrong about the scope though, I have a Leatherwood 6 - 18X on it.

My 452 is very accurate and will do one hole groups @ 100 yds on a still day. I did a little trigger fiddling - replaced a trigger spring & smoothed the sear, can't quite remember but there are a few CZ websites out there on how to.

If you like accuracy you'll like the CZ. Their 550 Kevlar in 223 or 308 is also a bit under rated.

Wow 1 in at 100 yds. I haven't shot my 452 yet. I'll be on the range as soon as those rings show up. I just received by UPS today 1,500 rds of 17HMR. found a deal for 11.50 per box CCI.
I'll Let you know how it shoots.
    Thanks.

Actually, The Millet rings have a reversable clamp. The dovetail on your CZ is 11mm, and the standard in the USA is 3/8". The reversable clamp will accomodate either. I have a 453 single set trigger Varmint in 17HMR. All I can say is....Who's Your DADDY!!!!!!!

Not sure I understand. The top of the dove tail on my gun measures exactly .50 inch. Could I have an old model? I got it used at WAC looks new. Question: On a dove tail, what section is measured to determine 3/8? Is it the top (widest part) or bottom (narrowest part).
DT on my 452 is .5 on to and .375 on bottom.
With those dimensions should a 3/8 dove tail still fit?
I'm starting to feel stupid here.

We as a shooting group, and manufacturers, and machinist, have names or nomenclature for these dovetail "grooves". The names are often assosciated by size, which is not measured at the TOP of the groove. If you go to the CZ website, they will list their groove on their rimfire rifles as 11mm. Stateside rimfires most all have a 3/8 dovetail listed. Stateside, our dimensions and measurements are a little different, and we call ours 3/8. CZ makes one to fit theirs exactly over center of the bore, and the Millet is so very close(as are 11mm, and 3/8", but they are not the same), they are made to WORK on either one, but the centerline will be just a little off to one side or the other, but not excessive where a few clicks on the windage adjustment will not take it up. I hope this cleared it up.
