    There was no .32 BS.
    Years ago, I acquired my great-uncle's .38 "Banker's Special." It seems "Uncle John" was somewhat of a gunfighter in rural Mississippi.
    The gun was in cal .38 special, with fake stag grips and the factory hammer shroud installed. It raised quite a few eyebrows among the local collectors!
    It seems that "Uncle John" had his Police Positive Special customized with a "Banker's Special" barrel. Very nice job, too. Gunsmith jobs like these are the origin of the rumor of the .38 Special "B/S"- it looked like a factory job.
