When Speer made .45 brass with small primers?

I was de-priming a bunch of .45 brass I got when I qualified a couple weeks ago and found these. The Federal case has large for comparison.

Modern environmentally sensitive ammunition not using lead compounds in the primers typically have small primer pockets. I have seen a lot of Winchester NT (Non Toxic), some Federal, and now Speer.

If you have a lot of them, you can reload them with small pistol primers... even though the makers try to scare you out of it.

    Thanks James,

I have never used NT ammo, didnt know they used only small primers in them. I only found about 15 or so of these so they went in the trash.
