At first the Colt AR-15 used a different pin for connection with the upper receiver. Now that they got that fixed, will they/have they ever had lower receive with the notches above the selector switch (to prevent over turning the switch) like a M16? Everyone else offers this.

    Colt AR-15

What is the difference between the Colt models of AR-15? There is a Match target, Sporter match, Sporter competition, Competition match target. I'm sure there are others. Also what colt model will be the most accurate out of the box, I'm looking at a Sporter Compition HBAR with a 20 inch barrel and a 1:7 twist. Would I be better going with an older model? ( SP-1 )

I was told that the rate of twist is a factor in choosing the right bullet for my AR. I'm not sure but I think the guy said I should have a fast twist for the lighter 55 gr and a slower twist for the heavier 62 gr. Am I being steered right or not? Any Info would help. The colt is a match H-bar with a barrel thats stamped C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 HBAR

When I shoot it. It makes a loud pong, like when you pull a spring back and let it go, I know this it the large spring in the stock. but is it normal? Is there something I can do to make it stop? Will this hurt the gun? The Professional Orandance AR-15 I had didn't make this noise. The AR-15 pistol I have doesn't either. So why does my Colt?

I am going to put up for auction the following: Colt AR-15, model 6700 post ban. NIB. Have to go along with it: 2 scopes, 1 is a red-dot; fleece line carrying case; 5 boxes of ammo; 1 standard Colt 9-round mag; 1 used Colt 20 round mag; 2 Colt 30 round mags. Manual included. May have registered it with Colt but not sure. Anyone think of a good price for this package? Thanks, Frank aka fpateconner@aol.com

All I can tell you is that late AR-15's in the A2 configuration have a "fence" (actually, raised ridges) surrounding the mag catch button to prevent accidental release of the mag. No idea what MAH is.
