That Winchester 54, depending on bluing, any rust, and the condition of the stock would be $600-800.

Duckhunter must either own a pawnshop or be a gunshow vendor. I don't know how many times I've seen him give outragously low ball values.

Far too little info for me to say whether 500 is low ball or not. Really need good pictures at least including description of bore condition, any modifications, etc.

Model 54 could be a good one based on its originality and condition is key . $400-600 probably. The model 37 around $200. Model 94 $200 and the 67 maybe $100. Condition , condition , condition my friend is key .

$500 for all 4 is ridiculous. Why would you want to give someone that kind of advise when they obviously are looking for "Help". That would come to $125 per gun. Even the 94 in shooter condition would bring that. Yes, condition is the key to giving a better estimate to the poster, but a crazy overall figure like that is no help.

Based on steeltoe1978's specific request to price them in the "FAIR-GOOD" range, duckhunter's estimate is perfectly reasonable.

It is obvious that some people (duckhunter for one) actually read what is written, and that some of you do not.

    Bert,
The guns are what I would call "shooters". I know they are not collectable but even as shooters the 54 will bring 350-400, the 94 will go for 200 all day long, and the Ithica 150-175 on the low end. Look at completed auctions. Even if the Springfield was free (which it almost would be) He could get 650-700 for all 4 unless they were total trash. I am not trying to start an argument at all, but those prices will hold up very well around here (Texas), maybe I am wrong as to other parts of the country. Our last gun show, I sold 3 94's and another dealer sold 2. All 5 brought 275- 350 each depending on condition.

Anyway this is a moot point. I just don't feel like telling the poster that his guns are worth x amount based on what I would give. Not what they are worth ON THE AVERAGE. I know that you would not give 100 for a 94 that was not in collectable condition but most people would.

Again I hope you do not take this as me trying to start anything. Just my two cents worth.

Exactly. Most of us understand how the game is played. Gun/pawnshops and gunshow vendors CAN'T give actual values for guns. And then resell them @ value and remain in business.
But the rub is the dishonesty of telling people that thier guns are only WORTH these low ball prices instead of telling them the truth. That that's all they are worth TO YOU!
And what's the point of low balling people here. This ain't no gunshow. Why low ball on guns you probably won't have an opportunity to buy?

Aren't we talking samantics now? Rarely (if ever) has anyone differentiated their value question between wholesale and retail values.
That applies to new guns. In general we are talking book values or auction value here. Real world prices.
