Have any of you old timers ever written a book, about common sense care, purchase and selling, and even best use gun for certain situations. If not one of you guys should with all the knowledge floating around in here, it would be great. I have learned a lot just reading in the forums. Thanks. and teach a kid the proper use of a firearm ther're our future to keep bearing arms safely.

Well here's some wisdom for you as why few books like that are written. The youngster don't pay any attention to them. [;)]

Every generation goes through the same cycles and the individuals make the same mistates until a level of experience kicks in. It is human nature to think that even though it didn't work before, I will now come along and make it work! Sometimes, some advancment does improve on an old idea, but usually most kids see the err of their ways.

Some kid has to have all the latest gadgets on his AR15. So much so that you have to dig deep to find a rifle under there. The more complicated you make something, the more likely it is something will break.

A book as you are envisioning would undoubtably outline the KISS principle. Keep It Simple Stupid. It would be nice if it were as simple as writing a book. [:I]
