I am not very smart about rifle stocks, what i want to know is the stock that seems to have a half of a saddle carved out of it is called what? and which side is this on for a right hander.

Once again I turn to the Experts for help.

I just picked up 2 Rifles and I would like to know who to contact to buy new WOOD/Laminate, Stocks for:

Ruger M77 MKII S/S ,.270 Cal, Reg Bbl

Savage MKII .22 cal Bolt Action. Clip Magazine
    (Syn Stock OK)

NO, I do Not want some Extra Fancy, Competition Proved, Thumb Hole w/Exotic Wood Carvings etc

For the Ruger I would like something similar to what came on the Rem Model 700BDL etc

A good looking Laminate stock would also be OK.

Because the Savage is a low priced model,a synthetic stock might be the way to go.

Any info you can supply on misc MFGs would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance, Dairyland man

is there any specific type of aftermarket rifle stock that i need to buy if i wanted to put it on my ruger 77/17? would any of the nice benchrest stocks fit, and if not what would i possibly have to do to make it fit?

    Thanks, Martin Janczak

Are You talking about a MONTE CARLO...Where You rest your Cheek againt it....? Can You post a photo or do You have a Gun Store in Your area to where You can go have a Looksee at the Rifles...? The Cheek Piece for a Right Handed Shooter would be on the Left Side of the Stock...
