A friend was given a short[31 pcs]belt of 30-06 blanks. Headstamp reads: LC 64 with an emblem. A circle with 4 triangles inside. Anybody know the history and approximate value? thanks. nb

nam, these are 7.62x51 NATO blanks, not '06 . . . the circle enclosing the cross is used to ID NATO spec ammo and was never used on .30-06 ammo. The extended neck of the blanks is also distinctive, a style not used in the '06. Value - $3 maybe. Stuff is relatively common, of very little interest to collectors . . . there is some market for it, but usually only in large quantity, for shooters wishing to play with their Class III weapons.
