need a little help on a taurus

I have a friends Taurus Millennium PT140 pro here at home
he did not know how to strip it so I said I would clean it for
him..I have a few smith automatics so I figured it could not
be that hard..I locked the slid back and rotated the pin on the left
side and removed it..I slowly released the slide and attempted to slide it forward off the frame but it will not slide off..am I doing
something wrong or is it so carboned up it will not come off..
I will say he has not cleaned it in some time and has fired it alot
in fact he has never cleaned it because he does not know how to strip it..

slidder I might be mistaken have you tried to pull trigger, is mag out I used to have a 24/7 pretty sure you had to pull trigger to remove slide but its been awhile. also remove magazine.

i think hillbillie is right. you have to pull the trigger to release the slide. MAKE SURE THE GUN IS NOT LOADED.

slidder may I also suggest you teach your friend how to clean it, I hate to see any weapon abused. just glad I could help
