I bought a German Gecado .22 LR pistol for $10. It has been sitting in an attic for 20 years and it needs a good cleaning. The cylinder turns really hard and I can't get it to come apart.

Any information on how break this pistol down would be great

Photos would help, as there are > 1 model made by this company.

But, try pushing the cylinder pin forward 1/8", & the cylinder should swing open to the side. Spray it with CLP to break down crud, blow it dry, & oil. You really don't want to take it apart any further.

EDIT: OK, my fault. I should have said "Close up photos of both sides & the front of the frame would help."

See if you can pull the cylinder rod forward, & try to flip the cylinder to one side like this:

I am able to pull the cylinder to the side but I was looking to remove it.

Your suggestion of cleaning it up and oil it. The cylinder now move like it should. Thanks.
