$6 bills ain't bad. Did you check the frame for cracks?

Ain't it great you can still purchase back your youth?

Also there are many other brands for magazines.

*For me, I love the way my S&W 1076 fits my hand.

would anyone know where to get a 6 inch barrel for a delta elite????

Bar-Sto would be the barrel I'd go with if no mods are to be made. With the resurgance of the 10mm Ed Brown or Wilson Combat might be the way.

If you don't care about the frame I'd go with the ramped barrel. Cut the frame to fit the ramped barrel and go. But if you're going to go this route I'd just build as so one does not devalue the Delta.

I'm thinking either 1987 or 1988. A blued one sells for around $900 in my area. You did well.

You can call Colt and they will tell you the year made.

thank you for your help... i still wish i had my first edition stainless back... this is the only colt that ive owned since that one, and it feels darn good i must say. i have two glock 20, and an EEA witness 10mm. they dont come close to a delta elite.

Gun Parts Corp has several barrel lengths, depending upon caliber & threads.

But, as I recall, our resident 1911 expert (Perry Shooter) says that there is nothing to be gained by installation of a longer barrel.

If I had to replace the barrel, I'd use a Colt National Match, which is one of the nice features of the Colt Combat Elite.
