I have looked on this forum for info on the H&R revolver listed and could not find any info on it. Any one fill me in on a small amount of history on this nice little weapon. I also did some searches on line and came up with very little information on this H&R.

I'll bet that if the gun is a "Side-Kick", then it is either a 929, or a 939. The 939 is usually called an "Ultra Side-Kick", though. There have been a few variations, too. Here are a few on auction:

You revolver, from your description, is a model 929 2 1/2" barrel. This was a popular model with H&R and many were manufactured and sold in various configurations from about 1958 on.
The nickel variations were model 930's.
