poly choke question

i have a browning a 5 with a poly choke, first poly choke i've owned my question is do i tighten the choke all the way down and then select my choke or will it select each time it goes around as it loosens? i hope i've explained myslf correctly

    As a general rule, tighten all the way, don't do the Hulk twist, just normal pressure. Back off to the first notch - that is full.

    Then rotate to modified, etc.

    and by all means...dont unscrew the thing so that only 2 threads are holding it on! if you get lost, just back it down to tight and come back out. enjoy that poly. it will serve you well.
