It may look like a Ruger, but it's not.

I bought this Ruger look alike this week. Its an AMT lightning. Anyone have experience with these? How do they compare to a similar Ruger?

AMT..... "Arcadia Machine Tool" made a variety of very well made guns like the "Lightning" pistol and .22 rifle, "Hardballer" .45 1911A1 type pistols, and several models of the "Automag" pistols. They are no longer in business.

The Lightning is indeed a close copy of the Ruger .22 pistol just as the Lightning rifle was a close copy of the Ruger 10-22.

Apparently Ruger sued them for making this direct clone.
