Fake Colt SAA on GB?

Would someone else take a look at auction number 287646861 and tell me that is not a Uberti/Cimmaron SAA withColt parts? The side patent dates are the exact same markings as a Uberti!

I don't know if it's fake or not? I just wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Being it is supposedly a super rare, big buck Colt, and being sold, "as is no returns". That alone smells to high haven.

I have a couple Ubertis and there is one main difference I can see. The Ubertis use a spring loaded crossways button instead of a screw (as on this one) to hold in the cylinder pin.

Well I took a long, long look at this gun to come to that conclusion. No original Colt SAA had that patent date marking. None. Some were similar in nature but none, none read that way with that wording. That comes straight from the most known authority on SAAs. John Kopec. As for the Colt letter, you mail Colt the fee with a serial number and they mail the letter. Doesn't make the gun authentic.

Uberti makes them both ways. They make an antiqued version of the early black powder frame like this one. You can find them on Uberti's website under 1873 Cattleman, at the bottom of the page. Kinda strange the frame is so bright and clean with little age and the barrel definitely shows 140 years of wear and tear....

Just about every form of Colt percussion gun has been faked, so why not an SAA. Some fakes are better than others, but I saw a gun at a gun show that was obviously an Uberti that had a Colt SAA barrel screwed into it. I asked the seller if it was a Colt, and he gave me the (usual, for a scammer) answer "Well, that's what it says on it".

The 'no return' hatch bothers me a lot on a $2,000 gun.

No doubt the attitude of stating something like that almost screams fraud. You never see an honest dealer hesitant to answer a question or post a detailed photo or answer. Ask this guy a question...

Also look at the US stamping. That font looks like it was done with a modern engraving machine. It is a ridiculas fake.

A true artillery model should have a 7 1/2" barrel.
Plus none of the serial numbers are the same.
He is trying to pass off a parts gun [xx(]
