Any reason not to buy this one? Any one have one who can comment on it? I will be buying one at Costco unless there are issues with it?

As with most all safes, it's pretty hard to get the amount of long guns in them that they say you can. All of the guns need to be single shot shot guns or some similiar shape. Seems that scoped rifles and other types of guns take up more than 1 spot. I would venture to say that you would be lucky to get 18 or so guns of mixed styles and shapes in there without having to whack a few guns getting some out. Not knocking the safe just how many guns companies say you can get in them.

Few if any scopes will be in it. Step Dad's guns and mine will be in it. I own older bolts or Assault Weapons.

I have learned that I can get more guns in the safe by removing the bolts from bolt action rifles and storing every other gun muzzle down.

I have a Winchester Safe, which I bought at Sam's Club, the only problem I had with mine, which was made by Granite, was that the mechanism behind the combination had a couple of backed out screws and I couldn't close the door because the 1" bolt locks wouldn't withdraw in order to close the door. I called them and about 5 days later a locksmith came to my house with a new combination module and removed the inner panel and loc-tited the screws and even installed the new module at no charge to me at all. Lifetime warrenty. I have about half with rifles (8)and shotguns (3), handguns (7) are on the door and the other half filled with various important stuff to me. I even have a golden rod inside and still have room left for whatever.

I've had mine for 10 yrs. No Problems. They are less expensive now than back then. Like most guys, I should have bought one with more capacity. Like Hershel says, store some muzzle down, I have no problem getting 24 inside.

I might spend more on the 50 plus gun safe BUT I'd have to rent a truck to haul it. The 24 gun safe will fit in my SUV.

I had a few dozen more than listed capacity in my Cannon safe before the fire, but that was back when scopes were less than a foot wide.
Be sure to pick up a washing machine or refrigerator box from WalleeWorld to conceal your purchase in; no need to advertise your intentions.

How much is it??? If you are not worried about fire rating, its a good safe. My son has one. I own Liberty's and like them, but they are expensive. Its all personal preference. If you like it, buy it.
