Springfield Armory Garand

I have a Springfield Armory M1 Garand in .308. I purchased it new about 15 years ago and honestly have only fired two boxes of new Federal ammo through it. I am thinking about trading it or selling it. Could any of you knowledgable gentlemen give me a good idea of what a good bottom line price would be. Thanks.

New M1's from SA Inc are > $1K, & they aren't made as well as yours. But, realistically, there isn't a lot of demand on the secondary market. And, a lot of the guys who want and M1 in .308 just buy a CMP Rack Grade & rebarrel it, for a total of $600-700.

If it were mine, I'd try to get $750 for it, but I would be willing to accept $500 if that's all I could get. Before I'd take any less, I'd part it out.
