1187 Trouble

Friend got an 1187 for Xmas. Shoots, but doesn't eject. Must hand eject after each shot, so ejector works, but we're wondering if we put it together wrong, somehow.

Shooting 2 3/4" or 3" ammo ? If it's the inexpensive light loads you get at somewhere like Wal-mart, etc. sometimes they don't have enough pressure to cycle the action. Try some better ammo if this is the case first...........good luck.........[8D]

Clean the outside of the mag tube and make sure the the gas port is clean.

If the "O" ring is broken or missing, it becomes a single shot.

grizz, duck, and temblor are all right. Do each step they said and hopefully your problem will be fixed[:D]

Is it a 3.5 inch???? If so it may not work on light loads.

Make sure that the gas ring is installed correctly as it will fit either way !
