I have a rifle that I know nothing about and am not able to find anything related to the maker. Any feedback on when the item may have been made, its value, and/or history would be greatly appreciated. I believe it may be from 1840-1860. Thank you very much in advance my friends and have a blessed evening and week ahead! : )

The only thing I have, which is Sellers, William Rheiner, Detroit, Michigan, worked 1858-1895.

There was a Theodore Rheiner who was the son of William worked 1896-1910.

William Rheiner born 1833 Baden, Germany. Listed as a gunsmith in Detroit censuses and directory 1860-1890. Son Theodore born 1855 Michigan listed as a metal engraver 1880, gunsmith 1890.

    Rifle is probably post-Civil War.

hrf and MP I am very grateful for the information provided. Thank you both very much. It seems to be a rifle that is not very common.
