I have a Danish Issue Springfield Garand serial #1547542 (May 1943) that has a Marlin barrel on it. Markings are on top of barrel. This would indicate that Marlin barrels were used to retrofit. I acquired this M-1 thru the CMP in 2004. Rear sight cover has the Danish Navy Anchor on it too. My guess is you just might find Marlin barrels on many different Garands. They are supposed to be pretty good from what I remember reading.

Marlin barrels were produced during WW2, but they were not used in original production due to defects. They were, however, used after WW2 for arsenal rebuilds.
