does anyone know what this german 16 ga might be worth. I can't seem to find it in any blue books to give an appraisal for my customer

    Rhinemetall [by name] may very well be the type of proprietary steel used in manufacture. Some German gun manufacturers advertised the type of steel they used by stamping it onto the barrels.

    Maybe that's why you can't find a reference for the firearm manufacturer. Joe
