    Allow me to dogpile on this one. IMHO states more precisely that the shooter/writer of the post takes personal experience and conveys it as his own not the usual "everybody says". So, along those lines you find posters here who are exceptional and others, while knowledgeable, come across as somewhat vague. When someone gives the IMHO he hopefully has been there and done that and is giving advice he earned the hard way. In time and reading posts you'll come to appreciate it when you see an IMHO and the advice contradicts the norm and it's more worth looking into.
