Muzzle Brake Recommendations

Looking for some expert opinions!
I have a 270 WSM in SS I am looking to install a muzzle brake on. This will be my first rifle with a brake on it so I have no idea what direction to lean as far as a manufacturer of brakes goes.
I have a great smith to do the work I just need the brake.
Any opinions?

There are dozens of good brakes these days but it should depend on what you want the brake to look like on the end of the barrel.
Skinny barrels often use the Vais brakes contoured to match the barrel but there are others also. Larger diameter brakes can be tapered at the rear of the brake to transition to the barrel diameter.
Medium barrels can use the Badger Thruster or the GAP Titan as well as several others.
Large diameter barrels can usually handle the Badger FTE which is a superb brake.
Take a look at the Brownells catalog section for brakes or do a search for brakes on the internet.
Best.
