I have an Ithaca "Flues" SxS 20ga. that I need some help identifying stampings on.

1917 "Flues" model SxS 20ga.serial #2849**
European grip stock (checkered)
Beaver-tail fore grip (checkered)
28" barrels
Auto ejectors

Each barrel is stamped with a number 1, and a number 8 that is laying down on it's side, and below these the is the letter B.

Can anyone lead me to some info. on the markings mentioned above?

Thank you

It makes a difference where the numbers are, if the numbers are on the flates of the bottom of the barrel near where the barrel becomes round, that is the choke number. A number 1 would be IC. Will check my notes i think your gun was made in 1917
