1899 Krag carbine?

I bought a 1899 Krag at a ranch estate auction, I think it is a real carbine can anyone verify it by SN? It is 230365, the rear sight does have a C stamped on the left side. Thanks Don

The serial number verifies that it was manufactured in 1899 but not the configuration. Can you post some pictures?

ALL Model 1899 Krags were made as carbines. Of course, it may have been altered later, though still retaining a "C" marked rear sight makes this unlikely.
