does anyone know where i might get a 16 in barrel for a glock 20 ????? or will a 16in even fit in a glock? I own two 10mm handguns and have thought that a 10mm carbine would be AWESOME.

I have a Kel Tec 2000 in 40 using Glock mags, great gun!! However would love to have a Kel Tec or something like it in a fold up style for back packing, hiking etc.. It just seems that no one seems to remember the 10mm when they come to making these great little carbines. I have seen the Mec Tec and since its the only thing out these beside the Victory arms 10mm in a MP5 formatt $$$$ in my price range. I am sure many of you have seen the 16 inch barrel for the 1911 along with its wooden stock. Great Idea! could the same idea apply to a glock 20 or 21
The question is, If I had a 16 inch barrel made for my glock 20 10mm,and then used lets say the RONI, would the barrel need any extra support like a bushing or something so that the accuracy would not be compromised? The bigger question, Would it even work? knowing that the barrel in a Glock kicks upward slightly during the cycling process. And would the Glock offer enough support for a 16 inch barrel to act as free floating??
    Thoughts anyone?????

I saw a post on here recently and it was talking about the 10mm, it had pictures of all the different calibers and it looked like the 10mm was a lot bigger than the 9 which I didn't expect. I don't know much about the 10mm, but I was wondering if anyone knew the average price for the ammo. Also what size would it be in between? It looked like it could have been bigger than the .357 and .45 but I don't think it really was, just longer or something. Anyways, I was just wondering how the ammo compared to the 9mm.

...A fair amount of people who use handguns to deer hunt with, love and use the 10mm round. Fast, flat trajectory, big bullet basically, or fast, flat and small, your call; a very versital round.

...A lot of handloaders think of the 10mm as one of the dream cartridge's for reloading, such as the thought with the .41.

...FPE is excellent, with the 10mm.

...To hell with practical, it's a great fun round to shoot...4 feet of flame from your 1911 is a hoot...[:p]

I am a big fan of the 10mm. The 38super is .355 inches in diameter. The 10mm is .40 inches in diameter. you can push more faster with a 10mm. My 2 cents [8D]

In all actuality, the 10MM, when loaded to the levels what it was designed for has the power level on the bottom of the 41 magnum spectrum. The FBI loads handicapped it, and created the 40S&W. The 10MM shoots as flat as the 357 sig/38 super, and flatter than a 45, and carries more down range energy. In an accurate handgun, it is the only practical auto-loading round I would feel comfortable for deer hunting with out to 100 yards. I also carry a Glock 29 for black bear protection sometimes.

    In short:
    Heavier bullet.
    Larger diameter bullet.

Its not just more power (eg energy/momentum), but also a bigger hole and better penetration.

Drawback, of course, is more recoil.
