Winchester Model 70 Lightweight Question

I have a Win Model 70 Lightweight in .270.
I bought it new in '88 or '89.

I heard it was only produced those years. It's a laminated, golden brown stock and much darker than most of the newer laminated stocks.

I am looking for another to buy and over the years have located NONE.

I check here a lot and check local shops.

Is this kinda rare? Low production?

Mine is a great shooter since I had it floated and a trigger job.

Any comments or suggestions?

I can post a pic later.

Wish I could be of more assistance. We lived in Montana when I was kid and Dad's 1955 Christmas present was an Win 70 Featherweight in .308. Over the course of '56 Dad managed to acquire Featherweights in .243 and .270. Over the years he sold the latter two. I now have possession of the .308 and sure wish the other two had been kept. Like you, I'd especially love to have one in .270 and I've not come across one yet.
