Bought some junk at an auction and found a military box full of this ammo with it. All it has on it is LG98 and its almost 2" long. Can anyone tell me more about it or how to look it up to see what its worth? Thanks

Its a 5.56 blank round. The LG is actually "LC" which stands for the "Lake City" ammo plant and 98 being the year it was loaded.

It is the blank ammo used in the M-16 rifle and the SAW Squad Automatic Weapon belt fed light machinegun used by US armed forces.

A blank adaptor is needed to cycle the action of guns when shooting this ammo, otherwise the shooter must cycle the action by hand.

Its a very common round, worth about 10 to 15 cents.
