I have an old pump shotgun that had the barrel shortened from 28 to 21 inches and a polychoke put on it. How much does this affect the pattern of the shot? Is this gun ruined? I know I could take it and shoot it and probably find out. I was just wondering what ya'll thought. Thanks. Sam.

the poly choke is adjustable for different choke sizes. It is better than screwing in chokes every time a shot changes. It won't increase value,..and won't decrease it unless it is a collector gun, in which case, the installation has hurt the value.
