Is it worth getting one? Me and my friend Jason who just got out of basic training picked up a YUGO SKS for him, been to the range, fires nicely, accurate, but is a scope mount worth it, its something he seems to want on it, although I prefer the open sights but hey... His gun, just holding it till he turns 18 and pays the $200 I had to spot him. lol

The "best" I have used are the self drilled and tapped side rail sks bases and one piece side scope mounts with crown taps(east-bloc). You can cant the base 30moa and hit human sized targets at 600-800 meters. The older 6x40mm russian regular scopes with 400m rangfinder are best in my book.
