Good Day Forum,
I recently purchased a used 1981 issue Remington 1100 LT20 Magnum for the wife to shoot clay with. The price was right ($100) but the condition was really rough. Rust, rust and more rust. I'm pretty good with cleaning, complete dis-assembly and 12 hours of work to clean it up. Replaced the gas seal with a new one and tried it out today. It goes BANG, but won't cycle. I used low brass 7.5 shot for clay. So... should I use high brass stuff or a different brand (I used Winchester today)... BUT if it's only going to eat stouter rounds, the wife won't want to shoot it with a stronger recoil.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Since it is a 'Magnum' model, will a standard LT20 barrel function on this receiver? using 2 3/4" shells only, of course. I have found 2 on the auction side of GB:

or
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=108178705
Of these two choices, which would you suggest?
Many Thanks !
