I am looking into to buying a Browning rifle. I was wondering if anyone had any comments on the different A-bolts. I am trying to decide between the standard, classic hunter, and medallion. Thanks,Hitman

    dfgrem870,

There are several differences. There is a bolt release on the X-Bolt, so you can unload the chamber with the safety on, It has a different trigger system than the A-Bolt, and the detachable magazine on the X-Bolt is done from the exterrior of the rifle, and there is no floor plate to detach the magazine from. The X-Bolt is a nice package, and I would also look at the TC ICON if you are looking at an X-Bolt.

Is one better than the other? I have yet to make that decision, but the X-Bolt has sleeker lines, and a little better ergonomics than the A-Bolt.
