Must I log in every frigging time?

If making people log in every time is meant to reduce participation and use well you are doing the right thing.

I have gone to sites I have not been to in over a year and am still logged in.

Perhaps their is a good (??????) reason GB wants to make it harder for users.

It does get rather tedious, doesn't it? The most I've been able to stay on is 3 pages worth. View one, go to the second, back to GD... and I'm off.
    2nd attempt.

So after posting this thread I went to another thread and decided to reply.
    I clicked review
I had to log in again.
    I clicked submit
I had to log in again

I hope this just some growing pain adjustments and not intentional.
If it is they might as well just shut it down completely as it will become too annoying and drive us all away.

If that is in fact the plan, you are doing a great job
And I had to log in again for this reply

As if by magic, that problem disappeared for me last Tuesday. Now I am logged-in even after a reboot.
It's too late for me, save yourself.

I'm on here a gazillion times a day and I too am sick to death of having to log in TWICE every damn time. You have to log in to log in .......... this is just STUPID squared.

I'm getting used to the new site and it's not as bad as I originally thought but I'm wearing out my key board logging on.

Surely, one of Gun Broker's rocket scientist could fix this within ....... say a lifetime or so.

Seems like Gunbroker is not supporting their supporters ................. it's a two way street.

I have zero issues with my iPhone. It never logs me out, even when shutting it down.
My Android makes me log in once, when I first log on, and it already has my user name and password filled out. and then doesn?t kick me out.

Ana actually PM?d me, and asked what I did for that to happen. I replied, absolutely nothing, it just started doing it on it?s own. Sometime earlier this week.

We are still working on the log-out issue.
The fact that it's happening to some but not all of you is making this harder to troubleshoot. I was also experiencing the logout issue once we switched to the live production, but it got resolved when I did a complete clear of my cache.

I can assure you that the logout issue is *not* a security *feature*. We are going to resolve this!
    Thanks for your support.

It is frustrating; I for one, will be patient. I know you guys are working on it. For now we can just deal with the growing pains.

It may be related to which browser we use. I use Firefox, no idea whether that is the source of my problem.

Hang in there, Ana; you will soon find that you have learned a lot.

Yes it has been a little frustrating. On the right side of my screen under profile it shows me as logged in - however sometimes when I try to post, I get sent back to the log in screen and loose my text. I have learned to highlight and then copy that text; which makes retrying to post a little less frustrating.

It just did it again - so the issue isn't fixed yet.

I'm sure the boffins will figure it out eventually. Intermittent gremlins are the hardest to find.

Windows 7 Pro, with FireFox 65.0.2 here. I am experiencing the log out issue as well, but with varying degrees of severity based on the day it seems.

I run CCleaner many times a day which clears my cache, cookies, and just about everything else not needed, so my issue has nothing to do with that. Just leaving this info in case it might be of help.

Just take a break from the forum for a week or so, and all will be good at some point soon I'm sure.

I've had very good success (after opening a new account in order to log in/post, ) Until this evening. I've logged in, tried to install a "New Post," about 4 times now. Everything looks good, try to hit "Submit" on the New Post , and (nope) Gone.

    Done for the evening.

Today I cleared cookies and that has changed nothing. In fact, I had to log in again to reply having just logged in to view this message.
