Yeap!!
I've used flannel shirt sleeves {or any heavy work shirt}. Sew one end closed, then turn it inside out so the seem is neat looking,
fill with sand or beans, sew other end shut.
Less rough than old canvas on the nice gun finishes.

I made a bunch with lead shot bags. Couple of layers of plastic bags with rice inside. Levis legs work good, yard sale cheap ones.
