Very serious and needs to be put out there more since a couple of our older friends have fallen and laid there for a couple of days.
One that paid the price had 2 medical alert buttons but didn't like wearing them so he fell in the bathroom and laid there a day and a half and before family found him.
Our coffee group we exchanged phone numbers so we could notify family and emergency personal if they didn't answer the phone .
Just using cautions for our older members and most Police dept have Non-Emergency number people can call

"5star" button. You hit the special button and their operator calls you. If no answer, she calls a list people you submitted then the emt's/police. She tracks the phone and sends help to you, if you can not talk to her.
The whole deal with 5000 minutes of talk and 200 minutes of texting {not me!} only costs
$42.99 a month all in.

We had an elderly neighbor that had something similar that would call an emergency number if he fell down. The fire department came and picked him off the floor a couple of times that I remember. One time I was out in the yard and saw him fall beside his house. I went over to help him and it wasn't but a few minutes when the fire department from just down the road from our house was there in the driveway. He finally got to where he was falling so often they put him in a nursing home.
