I treated myself to a pure cane sugar Mexican Coke in a glass bottle after physical therapy...

Ice cold and no high fructose corn syrup or b phisphonal a...

No ice cubes or straw or glass - used an actual bottle opener to pop off a metal cap from the long necked glass bottle...

There is an orange fanta of the same origins in the fridge right now.

I bought A&W Cream soda by mistake, thinking it was A&W Root Beer.

It is still in the back of the fridge.

I'm partial to Weinhard's root beer with sarsaparilla, myself. If'n I want a soda, that is.

    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

What no Tab or Mr. Pib or Royal Crown cola...

No authentic Jamaican ginger beer mixed with pop rocks...

No Shasta or Dr Pepper (prune cola)...

No 40 ounce grape soda or pineapple cola...

    Doc browns kosher celery cola...

Take a boost "boost" mixed at home from syrup concentrate...

They are now blaming red bull and monster and other super caffeinated beverages for PTSD in soldiers - and say it exacerbates CTE and traumatic brain injuries...

Don't remember the last time I saw an A&W cream soda in the shops. I can find Shasta cream soda if I go to Smart & Final. Shasta makes great sodas like Black Cherry, Kiwi Strawberry and Tikki Punch (and many more). Now I can get Big Red from Walmart. Caffeinated cream soda. Only soda I pay full price.

I seldom drink as much as one soda a week, and almost always that's a Canada Dry Ginger Ale. I'm still working on the 12-pack of it with Christmas themed cans, if that's any hint. Bought about Thanksgiving, I think. So, over five months, and still have some of the 12.

I fondly remember black cherry sodas (Nehi?) and YooHoo (the chocolate drink) as well as real root beer made with sarsaparilla root. But that was something like 65 years ago. Between then and now, I lost my sweet tooth and don't yearn for sugary things any more.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.
