First one I have ever seen with a lanyard ring. It's on the left side of the grip frame, toward the butt. Grips are wood. Reportedly it was made in the 1950s. Is the lanyard ring unusual? Is the pistol valuable? It has no box, one magazine, and condition is around 95%. Thanks.

Had a couple of those little .22 pistols- got them when a military school closed. One had a top rib, other did not, but did have lanyard loop. Real fun little plinkers, about a 2/3rds scale model of a 1911, shot pretty well.
Table about has key to deciphering years from Spanish proof marks. FWIW, I acquired a Llama 1911A1 LNIB, dirt cheap. Yes, I know all true-got-the-tattoo Colt fans are going to flame this- but it shoots pretty damn good for $200 pistol, and the finish is nice.
