OK, we found out what we keep in our homes for security, what do you keep in your vehicle?
I'll start, Springfield XDS 3.3" 45 ACP, with Lasergrip, loaded with Ruger ARX ammo. Two extra mags in a handy spot. The reason for the ARX ammo is that there is very little muzzle flip, so follow up shots are easy to take.

And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Kel-Tec Sub 2K in the venerable .40 cal. Paired with a Glock 22 that shares mags. 17 rnds for the Glock, a 10 rnd standard for the Sub2K, followed up by 4-5 31 round SMG mags.
As well as whatever daily carry I have on me. Usually a S&W 642 Airweight in .38 spcl.
If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
A 22mag is a decent truck gun for around here. Can dispatch an injured deer, shoot a coyote, a ground hog, step in the woods for a squirrel hunt on the way home. A lot of the boys in Kansas keep a 22-250 in the truck. Just depends on where you're at and what you may run across.
If there is a gun on my hip when I get in, then that’s my truck gun.
So a Glock 43 if I am carrying.
A locked car doesn’t equal a secure gun!
Semiautomatic surplus carbine kept in a soft case under the rear seats along with 10 magazines in a leather bandolier.
Why (??) Did you have to do that to me?
I was unfamiliar with particular firearm. After having watched the Video, I need to own one.
Why, (??) would you do that to me Mike?
You blow your whistle when you want to be raped?

My situation exactly. Steel lock box/trunk - bolted to the floor of my vehicle. Steal my vehicle, yeah you've got it. Beyond that, I own it.
For a glove box - niche - nook or cranny last ditch hideout...
Or perhaps...
Or stashed in a briefcase - hidden in a shoulder pack - a back pocket rider
Or maybe an example of southern Italy
Though a modern reproduction of the below referenced gun would be a sweet piece...

Why do you tease me MrMike? (On the CZ52?)
If my vehicle is stolen with a gun in it - so what?
I will not ignore my own safety worrying about my gun getting stolen because it was in the truck.
A good safe or secured lockbox should stop smash and grab. (I have both).
I also do not believe in putting a crappy gun in my vehicle in case it gets stolen. My family's security is worth more. I want my truck gun to be compatible to what I'm used to - my EDC gun. Same ammo, same mags, same function (semi-auto).

Now this here will be my new "truck gun"...
