This changes quite literally by the hour," Newsom said Wednesday. "As of
last count, 31 people have been identified as having the coronavirus in
the state of California and have gone through the repatriation process
and are in various states of health."

“Are you going to see some schools shut down? Probably,” acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney reported said at the Conservative Political Action Conference outside Washington, D.C. “Maybe see impacts on public transportation? Sure, but we do this. We know how to handle this.”

I am curious what might happen if it found it's way into a community where the residents have no inclination or facilities to practice even the most basic personal hygiene.
This could be nature's answer to the "homeless crisis".
Working in the yard yesterday afternoon and receiving several mosquito bites made me wonder if the virus could be transmitted that way.
Not real concerned about it. Yet!
“We have just a few hundred testing kits in California,” Newsom said during a news conference with public health officials. “That is simply inadequate to do justice to the kind of testing we need.”
Newsom said 24 of those infected came from repatriation flights, and seven caught the virus overseas and traveled back to the U.S. on their own.
This comes after it was announced Wednesday that a new case of coronavirus in California could be the first known instance in the U.S. of the virus spreading among the general public.
Officials said the person did not have a history of traveling to areas with the virus or known exposure to another person with the virus.
Roughly 1 in 40 mortality rate.
Picture it sweeping through an average school with 1,000 or so students. And 25 of them will die.
The flu? I think not.
First death from it today here in Washington. Although the person had preexisting conditions. Immune compromised people, elderly and young kids will be the worst affected...just like flu.
If it takes hold there...... It will spread.
If Mexihole gets it...... we'll need 2 walls with a "no mans" zone between 'em with interlocking MG fire.

Los Angeles-area officials have discovered six new COVID-19 cases in the county over the last 48 hours, prompting them to declare a local emergency to help free up federal and state funding.
Kathryn Barger, chairwoman of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, told reporters Wednesday that she just signed a proclamation declaring a local emergency.
