S&W Victory .38 DOM?

hello, got a smith victory model in .38 S&W in need of dom. ser# 726381 , any help will be appreciated

    Standard Catalog of S&W lists Victory models. 700000 to 1000000 as 1940 to 1945. I would think 1940. Another member that knows more than me should be along soon.

    Early, first run for the Brits. If's it hasn't been refinished? Should have commercial blued finish.
    Most all that I have seen, have 5" barrels. And post W W II, British commercial proof marks. When they were surplussed out of their military service. And exported back to the U.S.
