And here is #1 Grandson and Grandma in the midst of a two popcorn popper project.
He brought over 8 lbs of popcorn, now we have 3 40 lb dog food sacks full, soon to be mixed with jello and hauled to the bear bait.
He doesn't like to use what I like to use for spring bear, says it smells too bad. LOL.
The life and times of a young bear hunter.
But hey, he's having fun.

Sounds like it will be a great memory for him. How old is he?

17 YO and a senior in high school.

These are his baits, I stepped back and let him pick the spots.

The upper baits that we’ve used for years are still inaccessible for now because of big snow slides.

I’m proud of him, he has a big sow and a yearling cub visiting his one bait pretty regular, we may turn the dogs out on her this weekend just to run her and give the dogs a good workout.

Maybe try some gummy bears :)

Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

No jar of HUNNY or peanut butter? There got to be bacon grease, right?

So what is he using to tame the bear?
