Japanese Military To Receive New Assault Rifles Amid Rising Tensions With China

It's really getting Balkanized over there in The South China Sea. Hong Kong is getting sold out and Taiwan is digging in its heels. Then Japan is flying it's battle flag of the rising sun again  and everything is going hot.

Garren Mulloy, a professor of international relations at Japan's Daito Bunka University, told South China Morning Post (SCMP) that the new assault rifle has been tested for multiple battlefield scenarios, not just the in amphibious operations.
On Wednesday, we noted cross-strait relations and Sino-US diplomatic relations continues to deteriorate  -- Japan has gotten the message, restock its military with new assault rifles as conflict with China around disputed islands could be dead ahead.

Don't forget they have little rocketman right next door lobbing his missile tests over Japan as well. We worry that N.K. will be able to reach the west coast with a missile. Japan is well in their range now. Bob

8 brand new CVA class pocket aircraft carriers that are fully equipped to operate the latest carrier aircraft including fighters...

They are flying the imperial battle flag again - the carriers which they are calling destroyers equipped with helicopter wings for rescue and patrol purposes now are referred to internally with the names of their original carrier fleet - akagi for instance...

They are using them to project force - not only as true light attack carrier fleet elements - but to stage through planes from land bases - now retrofitted with tail hooks - rearm and refuel and extend mission capabilities...

Their new class of attack subs have a ridiculous number of torpedo tubes forward and art - and can launch ship killer cruise misses through vertical launching cells - modular design...

They just used eminent domain to take control over a series of privately owned islands at the far bottom end of their chain - and are turning them into what heavily defended and capable fighter bomber bases with naval infantry contingents and heavy AA middle and anti ship middle emplacements...

They have surpassed the constitutional limits on the size of their forces and on the self defense nature of their forces...

An obvious and needed counter balance to China - maybe...

I find it interesting that china and russia former allies are now the enemy and italy, germany and japan are now our friends.  Seems like to me its all banker's wars.  Except for Kim Bong Um, he is just a crazy wild card.  Oh and wasn't it posted on the forum he was dead.

This may be the beginning of Japan rebuilding their military and not just the "defense" thing they got going. Hell, they may boot the US out, too? I do wonder if they'll do the Korean or Jewish two year thing?
