What is the difference, if there is any, between this and a "PPS43C"?  Thanks

The PPS-43 is a SMG which fires full automatic from an open bolt and is fitted with a folding metal stock. The PPS-43-C is a semi automatic pistol which fires from a closed bolt. The 43-C stock does not function and is welded in the folded/closed position. If the firearm was registered as a Short Barreled Rifle, the stock could be modified to become functional.

Thank you.  Do you know if they both accept the same magazines?

The prevailing opinion is yes, surplus military magazines will work...but owners I've spoken to always follow that up with the famous (or infamous) "Some minor fitting may be required."

     Much appreciated.

Understand that in nearly all military SMG- look alike "pistols", small changes were made in the receiver dimensions to prevent someone from dropping in MG parts and turning a semi auto into full auto. This means that military magazine sometimes won't fit properly.
