Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

It is my understanding that the shutdowns are to help prevent overwhelming the health care system so as to give those infected the best chance for survival. Shutdowns won't stop anything but if you become critically ill it would be nice to know there are resources available to treat your problem. Bob
Oh Boy, you started sumthin' now!!!!!
Bob they may indeed be lying through their teeth however Americans are over there working we should get some reality of the situation and as far as I know we haven't heard about them hoarding anymore gear. As a matter of fact it seems the resupply of stuff here is all coming from China so they are working. IF they really only have 85K cases they know something the rest of the world doesn't and should be held accountable by the WORLD> It is time Russia, South America, USA, Europe Etal tell China to tell the truth on the numbers or get frozen out by the entire world. And if they really only have 85K cases it is time for the rest of the world to get whatever they got or are doing
There is no scientific or logical basis for any thinking that lockdowns will reduce overall infections over the long term.
There is no scientific or logical basis for any thinking that lockdowns will reduce deaths over the long term.
The same is true for masks and any other imposed behavioral modification.
The data reported from China may be true, but it is most likely doctored in some fashion. I doubt China is testing corpses to see if they had the Covid, and I doubt China classifying gunshot wounds to the head as Covid deaths as has been documented in magical Covid era here in the US.
There could be logical reasons that the death rate in China is lower than in the US. One, for example, is that the obesity rate in China is less than 10% while it is over 40% in the US. Obesity tracks nicely with hypertension and diabetes, two other co-morbidities associated with Covid Deaths.
It also goes without saying that as a country that dines on bats, lizards and rodents, the immune system of the average person in China is probably a lot stronger than that of the average American, where we seem to be losing our ability to handle peanuts, dairy products and white bread.
That said, who gives a bat's * about what is happening in China? What should be important to all of us is what is happening here in the US. We have set the stage for a fundamental shift in the relationship between the US Citizen and their local, State, and National Government. It is the shift that the Obama's wanted and that the far left has wanted for decades. They are tasting victory now, and more we let these governments manipulate our day to day behaviors, the easier it becomes the next time around.

Heh heh heh... A closed mind is a sorry thing.
Following the science means having an open mind to all approaches.
Yes, Sweden is demographically different than the US, but the data from Sweden informs the science, and is applicable to areas in the US. Perhaps not New York City or other major population centers, but then most of the US is not like New York City or other major population centers.
From the per capita extrapolation data stated above, the US would have 1,000,000 fewer documented cases of the virus had our experience been like that of Sweden. Why did the US, which had fairly restrictive lockdowns in most of our major population centers experience such a dramatically larger number of cases per capita than did Sweden?
I don't have that answer, but, heh heh heh, would not be so arrogant as to scoff at the potential application of this data (science) prior to trying to understand it.

They report one case per person.
We report five "tests" per individual - and all of those "automatic" infections based on age and preexisting medical health conditions . . . that died anyway.
Funnny how rats side with chicoms.
Donnie lives rent free in their heads too LOL
