I have spent several years teaching in the public school system.  There are so many problems I could type for hours and only brush the surface.  If I was going to try and quickly sum up the bulk of the problems, I would just say that the schools are ran by libs/commies/socialists so the schools have been turned into cesspools of filth just like everything liberalism/communism touches.

Education in public schooling is no longer the basic 3 R's if you want to call it that.
I think it has been converted to a place where we send our children to be indoctrinated by liberal teachers and professors spewing their own philosophy. We are headed down the drain and the swirl is getting faster as we near the bottom.
    My 2 Cents.

Helicopter parents and spineless administrators drove my blood pressure up and I retired from teaching.
Children are no longer held responsible for their actions (discipline) or their inaction (learning) and we even have to feed them.
I am wondering whats going to happen when we start opening schools this fall and parents have to get engaged in what/how their children are educated.

May see a change in the way things are done, or we may drown in a torrent of paperwork.

This is long and not easy to listen to. But it explains what has happened in our country.

Education in public schooling is no longer the basic 3 R's if you want to call it that. I always thought they needed to check their spelling. I remember they shifted their thing to "molding the minds of the future" thing then "no kids left behind". I don't know what it is now.

I'm wondering with schools closed why are they still taking my money in taxes? I reckon it's good to be a teacher right now. No work and pay.

The idea of “settled science” should be enough to indict the public schools for malfeasance. They’re apparently taught to seek agreement and commonality in their pursuits instead of learning to think as independents.

A big part of the problem is that a high percentage of the teachers these days have little or no real world experience outside of the education system. They get their teaching degree and immediately begin the search for a teaching position. All they know is what the teachers ahead of them had taught them, and it's all liberal. It's the same way with our politicians these days. How many politicians have actually had a successful career in the private sector before deciding to eat from the public trough?

Education (specially college) has become less about education & more about big business. They're pumping out lackadaisical morons who can't do the basics & don't care.

I am hoping that one benefit to all this Covidiocy is that kids will now be mostly home-taught. At least half the country's parents are conservatives, which just may help turn the tide of liberal "education".
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.
