Since auctions eventually go away and someone might like to refer to this thread in the future, this 1983 made 4" 686 jumped from $850 bid the day before it closed to $1202 in the last hour.

Is there an "m" stamped on the frame by the model number? If so, then it has been sent back to the factory for the recall, if not, then it hasn't. Some people find the un molested guns worth more $$. However, as Ricci mentioned, handguns are going crazy right now...If you're even thinking about selling, now is the time...

I have the 6" version , I got it new back in 83 I think , you couldn't get a cylinder thru it without  jamming up , didn't matter what was shot thru it ,  factory or reloads,  those primers would flow back into the firing pin hole and lock it up tight, after I sent it in,  its been one heck of a fine shooter
