I’m sure Peart had a number of roadies who would move a section in and out
Or another version:
Neil Peart, one of, if not THE greatest. RIP.
I read that he liked Glock more than any 1911 type pistol.
Agreed
Actually, the roadies only provided the muscle while Lorne 'Gump' Wheaton, his drum tech, had a special map and all the precision measurements necessary to construct the drum kits. It might not be apparent but Neil Peart's reach and rotation had to be set precisely for each piece.
Best.
No disrespect towards Mr. Wheaton or his job title. I was using the term “roadie” in this more general definition.
cheers.
Agree with your agreement.

austin20,
I wasn't being argumentative at all but stating factual information which is specially pointed out in all of the descriptions about Neil's drum kits. You don't just assign muscle to set up a drum kit so specialized and monumental. It takes knowledge and precision to perform this task for every show. The public demanded perfection and professionalism from Neil so the band hired a professional to manage his drum kit. Complexity demands specialization.
You'll also find an Ian Grandy and Larry Allen listed as the early and mid-career drum techs.
All I know is Buddy Rich never needed a kit like that.

A few more than I had. I guess he was after my time, I don't know his work. Likely my loss.🙁
