Webley Mk VI 1918 - conversion?

Help needed


Don't have it in my hands yet and these three picture are all I can go one.


Does this look like a factory conversion? I can see no markings on the block (cylinder)


Looks to be 455

    My reference," Pistols of the World", by Hogg and Walter. Have a section on the Webley's, specifically the MK 6's.. Nothing similar to the one shown in your photos. My WAG would be, that it's some gunsmiths project. Rather than from the Webley factory. Do a chamber cast, to see what cartridge it is chambered for?
